Vegetable Boxes
Our vegetable box scheme offers fresh, seasonal produce grown right here at Fat Hen Farm using natural methods. From May to November, we provide weekly or fortnightly veg boxes packed with flavour, variety and food you can feel good about eating.
By joining our veg box scheme, you’re not just buying vegetables - you’re supporting a small community farm that works in harmony with nature.
Vegetable Boxes
How Our Veg Boxes Work
Available weekly or fortnightly from May to November
£16 per box (£15 for members)
Freshly harvested and packed with seasonal produce
Collection from the farm or local delivery on Tuesdays
Our boxes change with the seasons, meaning you’ll enjoy a varied mix of vegetables at their very best, while rediscovering what grows naturally at different times of year.
What’s Typically in a Box
Each box reflects what’s growing on the farm that week, but may include a mix of:
Fresh greens such as lettuce, spinach and chard
Root vegetables like carrots, beetroot and parsnips
Seasonal favourites including courgettes, cucumbers, tomatoes and squash
Herbs and occasional treats when available
Every box is different, and that’s part of the joy — eating with the seasons brings variety, flavour and inspiration.
Grown with Care for Nature
All our vegetables are grown using no-dig, permaculture-inspired methods, without the use of chemicals. This approach helps build healthy soil, supports wildlife and pollinators, and produces nutritious, great-tasting food.
Fat Hen Farm is a working community farm, rooted in sustainability, learning and connection — and our veg boxes are a direct expression of those values.
